About the School

Seathorne Primary School is situated in the lively seaside town of Skegness, on the East Coast of Lincolnshire.

As well as being within walking distance of the seafront, we are surrounded by beautiful countryside and quaint villages, being only a stone’s throw away from The Lincolnshire Wolds – an area of outstanding natural beauty – and a 40-minute drive from the historical city of Lincoln. Our pupils have a range of needs and abilities, with many experiencing the effects of coastal deprivation. However this does not deter them from having incredible resilience, optimism and a willingness to please and to learn. We work very closely and in collaboration with the primary and secondary academies within the region as well as with the local business community.

We are very proud of our pupils, and we encourage them to develop an enquiring mind, a sense of purpose and a determination to work hard and to learn without limits. Respect and consideration for other people and their property are at the centre of the school’s code of conduct. A system of rewards is used to celebrate success.

All staff are expected to encourage high standards of learning, behaviour, work and dress. Staff are vigorously supported to achieve these expectations by the Senior Leadership Team and the fantastic Pastoral Team.  We also make sure that we involve parents as quickly as possible, so that home and the school can work in partnership to solve problems which may arise.
